Projects 2026

It's now so easy to build new tools and code.

Specialization matters less, and I think anyone creating software should practice:

  1. human-led design
  2. lightweight but robust engineering
  3. sharp industry knowledge

The hardest part is staying simple: strip a problem down to what is actually true, then build only what that requires, and nothing else.

SpaceX's Raptor 1 and Raptor 3 rocket engines side by side: the first a tangle of pipes and wiring, the latest a clean, simple form.
SpaceX's the third rocket is so much simpler than its first rocket, a feat so hard to achieve.

The SpaceX rockets are so inspiring to me: simplicity to strive for.

Many of these projects took me months to make at the start. Now I can go from idea to research to working build in days. All of the projects below are practice for the next best one.

Alex's ResClub

Booking the hardest nYc reservations.
№ 530310
Today's timeline in the portal on a phone: one row per restaurant and night, grey ticks for each check, orange ticks for the follow checks after a new table, green diamonds where the month view caught a night opening, and blue bars for how long each wanted table lasted.
